Kevin Dunn left WWE in December, and while Lee Fitting has taken over for him on the main roster, someone else has filled his role in NXT.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Lee Fitting’s role with production and presentation does not carry over to NXT. Kevin Dunn previously had the responsibility prior to his departure in December.
Per Brennan, Vice President of Line Producing, Brian Fadem has filled the role following Dunn’s departure. Per sources, Fadem previously filled in for Dunn when he was absent. He is now the lead producer of NXT.
The report also cites sources that Fadem “hit the ground running” in his new role. As for talent, Brennan cited some who noted that Fadem was more open to suggestions as far as camera cuts and other production aspects. It was widely claimed that Dunn restricted the creativity of NXT’s production.
Furthermore, Brennan cited sources who noted that others were learning the role of lead producer in NXT. Fadem did not lead produce the show on April 30, as another name was learning the role.
WWE announced Lee Fitting’s hiring in January. More information is available here.
