Former NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez’s call-up to the main roster is only a matter of time, according to a new report.
Corey Brennan of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Roxanne Perez has impressed WWE officials with her main roster appearances in the past, and her call-up was described as “only a matter of time.”
However, the report notes that some in NXT wanted to see Perez stay on the brand to continue developing her new heel character. Brennan writes that Perez’s heel character has “blown away officials”, and some are pushing for her to win the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver. Perez was described as “professional beyond her years”, while another said that the sky was the limit for her.
Additionally, Brennan writes that Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez had been set to reunite as heels before Jade went down with an injury.
WrestleZone will have coverage of NXT as it airs on April 2.
