WWE SmackDown ended abruptly after Cody Rhodes slapped The Rock, leaving many to wonder how “The Great One” would react.
Cody Rhodes got some revenge at the end of the March 8 episode of WWE SmackDown. After he and Seth Rollins accepted The Rock’s challenge to a tag team match at WrestleMania 40, The Rock continued to take shots at Rhodes. He claimed that Rhodes was 20 years younger than his siblings because he was a mistake. Cody got fired up and slapped The Rock, much like the latter slapped him at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff press conference.
Fans at the venue then took to Twitter to share footage of what happened after SmackDown went off the air. Following a brief staredown, The Rock and Roman Reigns simply left the ring.
