Jacob Fatu is on the open market, according to a new report.
Rikishi sparked some buzz on February 1 as he took to Twitter and noted that former MLW World Heavyweight Champion Jacob Fatu was a free agent.
Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net reports that Jacob Fatu is a free agent. Hayes notes that it was rumored that Fatu was still under contract with MLW through 2025, but he is not under a deal, so he is free to sign anywhere.
Fatu is still set to face Yuji Nagata at MLW SuperFight on February 3. There is no word on what his future holds beyond that.
Fatu is a member of the Anoaʻi family, which includes Roman Reigns and The Usos. He is the son of Sam Fatu, formerly known as The Tonga Kid and Tama. Fatu had been with MLW since 2019. He has held the MLW World Heavyweight Championship and the National Openweight Championship. He remains active on the independent scene as well.
