Rhea Ripley reflects on the beginning of her on-screen pairing with Dominik Mysterio.
In 2022, the Judgment Day feuded with Rey and Dominik Mysterio. On multiple occasions, Rhea Ripley sparked some buzz when she choked Dominik with her legs. Dominik ultimately joined the stable, and he has had a successful run with the group. Ripley and Dominik have been renowned for their chemistry as a duo.
Speaking on Notsam Wrestling LIVE, Rhea Ripley was asked whether she immediately realized that she and Dominik Mysterio had great chemistry together.
“No, not really. It was actually quite awkward to start with [laughs],” Rhea Ripley said. “We hadn’t really talked to other much before. It was a simple ‘hello, how are you?’ every now and then when we saw each other. But apart from that, I mean, we didn’t really have a conversation until I started choking him out with my legs, and he fell madly love with me, and I don’t blame him [laughs].
“But I don’t know, it grew more and more [as] we were on-screen together. You end up spending more time with the people you work with, and the people that you surround yourself with. We travel together, we work together. We are a family, so it was only a matter of time before that bond grew for all of us, not just between Dom and I, but with all of us.”
