Dominik Mysterio is having the time of his life.
Mysterio was “arrested” a year ago for his Christmas altercation with his parents that went viral. What followed helped him become one of the biggest heat magnets in sports entertainment.
While speaking to Fernando Ramirez of The Sporting Tribune, Mysterio discussed being on the receiving end of the loudest boos every week.
“I know as soon as I grab the mic or even try to talk, they’re gonna start booing me,” Mysterio said. “It’s really cool. I’m just enjoying the ride, man… It’s been the absolute time of my life.”
Dominik had his highly-anticipated match against his father Rey at WrestleMania 39, but his prison-style entrance remains a talking point to this day.
“Honestly, that entrance was a complete surprise,” Mysterio said. He then shared how Triple H was the one who mapped out his entrance. Dominik was initially disappointed he wouldn’t be walking down the ramp for a more traditional entrance. However, he knew it would be unique once he understood the vision.
“It was very cool that I got to have my own special entrance and the fact that people remember it that much still, almost a year later… It was really special,” Mysterio added.
