On December 15, WWE taped matches and segments for the December 22 episode of WWE SmackDown from the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

- United States Championship Tournament: Santos Escobar defeated Bobby Lashley
- Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo interfere and help Escobar win.
- NXT North American Championship: Dragon Lee (c) defeated Butch
- AJ Styles, Randy Orton, LA Knight promo segment
- Knight, Styles, and Orton all made it clear that they wanted to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Nick Aldis booked a Triple Threat match between the three at SmackDown New Year’s Revolution, with the winner earning a shot at Reigns at WWE Royal Rumble.
- Holiday Havoc: Bianca Belair, Zelina Vega, Michin & Shotzi defeated Damage CTRL (Bayley, Asuka, Kairi Sane & IYO SKY)
- Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre interfered and attacked Sane.
- United States Championship Tournament: Kevin Owens defeated Carmelo Hayes
- AJ Styles vs. Solo Sikoa
- Styles won via disqualifcation after Roman Reigns attacked him. The Bloodline brawled with Stykes, Orton, and Knight.
