A new report shines some light on Abadon‘s return to AEW programming.
Abadon competed in their first match on AEW television since 2021 on the October 27 episode of AEW Rampage. There, they defeated Willow Nightingale, Skye Blue, and Anna Jay to earn a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. Hikaru Shida beat Abadon to retain the title on the October 28 episode of AEW Collision.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful (via Fightful Select) reports that Abadon had been out with an injury, and they just got cleared to return on October 25, ahead of the AEW Dynamite/Ramping taping. Abadon had not competed for the company since a dark match at the June 14, 2023, AEW Dynamite taping. Prior to Wednesday, they returned to the ring following a four-month absence at Wrestling REVOLVER’s Tales From The Ring 6 event on October 14.
