Jon Moxley is back, and kickstarted a massive brawl to close out tonight’s episode of AEW Collision.
Moxley arrived at the end of a match between his fellow Blackpool Combat Club members Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli and Ricky Starks & Big Bill. After Starks and Bill won, House of Black — who had arrived earlier in the match at ringside — ambushed Yuta and Castagnoli. Bryan Danielson and FTR came down to help, but also got beat up for their troubles.
It was then that Moxley’s music hit, and the superstar came out through the crowd to a loud ovation. He got swarmed as he got into the ring, but was able to fight everyone off long enough to give Danielson, FTR, and BCC time to get up and even the tides. The night came to a close with a massive brawl.
Prior to this, Moxley had been mostly out of action since the last AEW Dynamite Grand Slam, where he suffered an injury in an AEW International Championship losing match to Rey Fenix.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider subsequently reported that Moxley was officially cleared to return as of the TV taping on October 21.
