John Silver has earned a shot at Orange Cassidy’s AEW International Championship at AEW Battle of the Belts VIII.
In a Triple Threat Match on the October 20 episode of AEW Rampage, Silver defeated Kip Sabian and Brother Zay, and will now face off against Orange Cassidy at Battle of the Belts on Saturday. Sabian pinned Sabian after Zay hit him with a Swanton Bomb.
Cassidy captured the AEW International Championship for the second time by defeating Rey Fenix on the October 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. His first reign ended when Jon Moxley beat him at AEW All Out on September 3.
The updated card for AEW Battle of the Belts VIII is as follows:
- AEW World Trios Championship: The Acclaimed (Anthony Bowens & Max Caster) and Billy Gunn (c) vs. Matt Menard, Angelo Parker, and Daniel Garcia
- AEW TBS Championship: Kris Statlander (c) vs. Willow Nightingale
- AEW International Championship: Orange Cassidy (c) vs. John Silver
