Rick Boogs links the exit of Vince McMahon to the downfall of his career.
WWE released Rick Boogs in a wave of cuts on September 21 in a wave of cuts. Boogs then commented on his release in a video and claimed that it was due to a backstage political powerplay.
In a comment on the video (seen below), Boogs responded to a fan and wrote that he could say with 100% certainty that the removal of Vince McMahon “killed” his career.
Boogs was featured on WWE SmackDown in early 2022, and he was paired up with Shinsuke Nakamura. The duo faced The Usos at WrestleMania 38 in April 2022. Boogs suffered a torn quad in the bout, and he later returned in January 2023. He was sparingly used on TV prior to his release.
