Natalya reportedly drew praise for the way she stepped up during WWE’s trip to India.
On September 8, WWE held the Superstar Spectacle event in Hyperabad. The show marked WWE’s first live event in India since 2017. Natalya competed twice at the show due to Becky Lynch’s last-minute absence.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Natalya was praised for stepping up at the event. She faced Rhea Ripley in her scheduled match and filled in for Lynch. “The Man” missed the show because she was unable to travel. Lynch had been set to face Zoey Stark, and when she was unable to be there, the company had limited options otherwise.
Per Sapp, Natalya stepped up and noted that she was willing to work in two matches. Sapp wrote that WWE higher-ups “put her over heavily”, as one source noted that her actions showed leadership. Natalya was said to have helped the company get out of a bind.
