Former WWE Superstar Mercedes Moné has been one of the most talked about wrestlers in recent times. One of the rising stars in professional wrestling Kevin Knight had heaps of praise for the multi-time Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Kevin Knight began his career not too long ago. It was back in 2019. He is currently in New Japan Pro Wrestling teaming up with former NXT Cruiserweight Champion Kushida.
Mercedes Moné became one of the most sorted-after stars in the independent circuit after she left WWE. The CEO of pro wrestling signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling earlier this year. She made her debut at the Wrestle Kingdom 17 pay-per-view.
She showed up and challenged KAIRI to a title match. Moné also managed to defeat KAIRI to become the new IWGP Women’s Champion. Recently, her name was brought up during Knight’s recent interview on The Women’s Wrestling Talk podcast.
“There’s so many good women in the industry. But first answer your first question with Mercedes [Mone] – no, I never got to have a full conversation with her yet. I’ve only met her like twice and it was just saying hey in passing and all that. I don’t like to bother people backstage so they got something going on, I just let them do their thing and then I’m focusing on my match anyway. So yeah, I’m excited to see the things she will bring to the independent world to the New Japan/STARDOM world because she’s literally like the Beyonce of wrestling, and like wherever she goes her fans is following her so they gonna sell out everywhere so it’s certainly good business in my opinion.”
The CEO of pro wrestling was recently spotted at AEW All In.
