Tony Khan: AEW Has Accomplished Virtually Every Goal I Dreamed Of From The Start

AEW All In is set to be All Elite Wrestling’s biggest show, as the event has reportedly surpassed WrestleMania 32’s ticket distribution record. Wembley Stadium will host the special show, and the venue carries plenty of meaning for AEW CEO Tony Khan.

Speaking with Amitai Winehouse of The Athletic, Khan highlighted the magnitude of Wembley Stadium.

“I believe Wembley Stadium is the premium sports ground in the world,” Khan said. “We’re now the No 1 most-watched wrestling promotion in the UK. And for our first event, I felt we should put on a show consistent with being the top wrestling promotion in the UK.”

Tony Khan has previously described how he wrote his own wrestling shows many years before AEW launched. Khan shared that Wembley Stadium was the site of the biggest show he ever fantasy booked. Now, AEW’s success is beyond his dreams.

“The biggest show I ever did in my mind was at Wembley Stadium,” Khan said. “I wrote it 15 years ago. It was the culmination of everything that I had ever wanted to do. We’ve even managed to surpass my dream for the attendance at such an event.

“I feel that we’ve accomplished virtually every goal I would have dreamed of from the very beginning.”

WrestleZone will have coverage of AEW All In as it airs on August 27.
