CM Punk tried to get himself involved in the upcoming AEW Blood & Guts Match as reported by Voices of Wrestling and confirmed by Fightful Select. The report indicates that Punk offered to get involved in the match after Bryan Danielson broke his arm at Forbidden Door.
Punk reportedly offered to be the fifth member of Blackpool Combat Club for the match and Jon Moxley was said to not be against the idea of it being a possibility. It was unknown whether Punk pitched the idea in a serious manner or even if he actually thought there was a possibility that it could become a reality.
CM Punk has been vocal in a public manner about wanting to work with The Elite but has been continuously told that it is not going to happen. One AEW source spoke of Punk pitching himself for Blood & Guts by saying, “Neither team would want him.” It was said that the partners had already been determined for the match anyway.
