MJF doesn’t care that he didn’t main event Double or Nothing as the AEW World Champion on Sunday night.
AEW World Champion MJF spoke last night during the Double or Nothing Media Scrum to answer a wide variety of questions. When asked how he felt about not main eventing Sunday’s pay-per-view in favor of Anarchy in the Arena, Friedman said he didn’t have a problem with it and asked why he would want to wrestle after that match and roll around in Jon Moxley’s blood.
“No. Why the f*ck would I want to roll around in Jon Moxley’s blood? I’m f*cking good! Okay, no thanks,” MJF said. “Also, realistically, whether it’s this company or WWE, I think the world title having to go on last is dead in wrestling, and also now, how many pay-per-views has the world title not gone on last in this company?
“But yeah, I’d rather not run around in all that f*cking mid-blood. Like, can we get real real quick? That’s f*cking disgusting. Wheeler Yuta was in that match. You think I want to roll around the Wheeler Yuta blood?”
Tony Khan also mentioned that three of the five Double or Nothing events have not been main evented by the AEW World Championship. So there is definitely precedence to that with this specific show.
