Tony Khan says there will be a “huge announcement” on May 17, and fans should stay tuned, as it promises to be quite significant for All Elite Wrestling.
The May 10 episode of AEW Dynamite featured the unexpected returns of Miro and Thunder Rosa, who had both been absent from AEW TV for quite some time. Both Miro and Rosa appeared in brief segments where they entered Khan’s office.
Later in the show, Khan hyped up Wednesday’s card as one of the strongest in AEW history and stated that plenty of stars were in the back, hoping to get an opportunity to wrestle. With that in mind, Khan noted that it’s clear that AEW can produce more content than ever, and he encouraged fans to stay tuned to TNT next week, as there will be a major announcement on May 17.
Warner Bros Discovery’s upfront will be on May 17, and it has been reported that they will announce a new TV deal for AEW at the event. The deal is expected to include AEW’s new Saturday show, AEW Collision, which is reportedly set to premiere in June.
