Will Ospreay comments on the news that AEW is coming to Wembley Stadium.
During the April 5 episode of AEW Dynamite, All Elite Wrestling announced that their United Kingdom debut will be held at Wembley Stadium on August 27. Titled AEW All In at Wembley Stadium, the event has AEW fans buzzing and wrestlers expressing their interest in being a part of it.
Ospreay, who worked with AEW multiple times in 2022, including the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door pay-per-view, was asked about his interest in All In when speaking with Dark Puroresu Flowsion. He sent “all the love” to everyone involved and stated that he hopes there’s an opportunity for him.
“I’m a guy that pops in. All the love in the world to all those & its amazing crew,” Ospreay said. “I hope there is an opportunity as 1 of the guys that flies the flag for [the UK] everywhere I go. To do that would finally make my dad proud.”
Ospreay has been out of action with a shoulder injury since March, but he has been announced for the NJPW Resurgence event on May 21. He will compete in a tournament to crown a new contender for the IWGP United States Championship, which he lost to AEW’s Kenny Omega at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.
