Drew McIntyre will not be on hand at tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown, with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reporting that the superstar is dealing with a health issue.
Meltzer didn’t specify exactly what the issue was, but did note that the timetable for his return is unknown as of now. McIntyre was last in action during the second night of WrestleMania 39, where he participated in a Triple Threat Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus and Gunther.
The match itself was praised as being one of the best of the entire WrestleMania schedule, although it seemed to be McIntyre’s final match for the foreseeable future, with the superstar tweeting out a handful of emojis of a hand waving goodbye after the match had concluded.
