Samoa Joe will defend the TNT Championship on the December 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Joe, the reigning ROH World Television Champion, won the TNT Championship by defeating Wardlow and Powerhouse Hobbs at AEW Full Gear. “The King of Television” didn’t score the winning fall on Wardlow. As a result, the former champion has been hellbent on getting a rematch for the title he technically didn’t lose himself. He has expressed his intent to challenge Joe for the gold on multiple occasions, and the situation came to a head on the December 16 episode of AEW Rampage.
Wardlow easily defeated Exodus Prime before he called the champion out and said he was tired of waiting to fight him. Joe responded by agreeing to face Wardlow on the December 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.
