Mandy Rose is open to the idea of facing off with Nikki Bella in the ring.
Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Mandy Rose was asked about her “Nikki Bella” outfit and the reaction she knew she would get from it. Mandy wore the outfit on a recent episode of NXT, and she said she knew the internet would take notice, but many people told her to own the look.
“Can’t even wear my own merch hat and it’s a big thing. I had the whole outfit on backstage, obviously. We were all saying it. I was like, ‘Do I look way too much like Nikki right now? I’m definitely gonna get ripped on the Internet.’ But everyone was like, ‘Yeah, but who cares? You’re owning to her legacy.’ So I was like yeah, why not? That’s what happened [laughs]. We knew the Internet was gonna go there.”
After Van Vliet noted that the two could have a great match, Mandy Rose agreed and said she definitely thinks there’s a story they could tell in the ring.
“Right? That’s what I said. Then afterwards, I don’t know, I’m just saying. She did say she wants one more match, so I don’t know. I feel like her legacy and also just everything I’ve done, like we have a little bit of similar backgrounds in a sense because she obviously has paved the way for us, definitely during the divas time and with the Women’s Revolution and all that. So it’s like, I feel like there’s some kind of similarity with the both of us because she was always one to be like, she wants to have people respect her more, and she did gain that respect over the years. But in the beginning, it wasn’t maybe so much like that. So I feel like there is a little story there.”
