Roman Reigns is still Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
The main event of WWE Clash at the Castle saw WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defend against Drew McIntyre, perhaps one of the greatest threats to his two-year title reign.
There was plenty to talk about before the bell even rang as Tyson Fury and Karrion Kross (with Scarlett) were all shown sitting at ringside to witness the clash. McIntyre’s usual entrance song was preceded by a brief highlight reel of his WWE career while “Broken Dreams” played over it.

With no Paul Heyman, no Usos, and no Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns was left to go at it alone against McIntyre. Or so we thought. While the action was slow and methodical to start, McIntyre came face to face with Kross at ringside. Kross threatened to get involved, which allowed Reigns to take control for a period of time.
After some time, Reigns speared McIntyre through the time keeper’s area. Back in the ring, Reigns speared McIntyre again for another nearfall. Reigns argued with referee Charles Robinson until McIntyre hit the Claymore and accidentally knocked Reigns into the ref.
Austin Theory ran down with a new ref, Dan Engler, to attempt to cash in Money in the Bank, however Tyson Fury hit him with a knockout punch to prevent that from happening. Engler slid in the ring and continued to call the action as McIntyre had a nearfall on Reigns.
McIntyre speared Reigns and hit the Claymore for what would have been the victory, but Solo Sikoa yanked Engler from the ring. McIntyre turned around into a Spear for the three-count.

Post-match, Tyson Fury entered the ring and shook Roman’s hand. After the champ left, Fury helped McIntyre up and raised his hand for a standing ovation. Fury sang “American Pie” before going off the air.
Roman Reigns continues on as Undisputed WWE Universal Champion for 734 days and counting.
