Tyler Breeze Open To Livestreaming A Match, Shares What He Misses Most About Wrestling

Tyler Breeze is staying busy training the next generation of pro wrestlers.

During a recent interview with WrestleZone, Tyler Breeze spoke about what he’s been up to recently. Breeze was released by WWE in June 2021, but he remains active in the wrestling business through his work with UpUpDownDown and his Flatbacks wrestling school in Orlando.

“Flatbacks, we’ve been going about three years now. Myself, Shawn Spears, we’re very busy. We actually got our next class starting on Monday, full class for August, full class for October. January’s starting to fill up, and we just announced March. So, very busy in the ring training with everybody and having fun.”

Tyler Breeze said that there’s not much that needs to be “fixed” in his opinion, but one thing he misses about the wrestling business is performing in front of live crowds.

“The main thing, obviously, that I miss about wrestling, is the crowd. It’ll always be the crowd, because the main thing is…my last year, all the pandemic stuff is going on, there was no audience, and then it slowly came back, but it wasn’t what it is now, so definitely miss the crowd. In terms of being out here and being kind of amongst everything, there’s not really a whole lot that needs ‘fixing’ or changing. Wrestling’s going to be wrestling, it just kind of is what it is.”

Tyler Breeze utilized a selfie stick when he was introduced to NXT fans, but technology and social media has changed rapidly since that time. Asked if he’d be open to streaming during a match, Breeze said they might have looked into it during his NXT run but it’s certainly more of a possibility now.

“That could work, actually. That would be kind of cool, it’d be something new, something relevant. I think we might have touched on it a little bit when I was doing it, but we never really kind of did anything with it, or it was in its infancy stages anyway. Now it’s obviously — it’s a much easier thing to stream or something like that. It’s definitely a possibility.”
