To kick off this year’s WWE NXT Great American Bash, Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade beat Toxic Attraction to win the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championship.
Breakout tournament winner Perez and Jade earned the title match by defeating Katana Chance and Kayden Carter on the June 28 episode. Perez and Jade then opened the July 5 special by scoring a pinfall victory over Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jane. The end of the bout saw NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose get ejected from ringside, and Perez subsequently hit the Code Rok for the win.

This marks the first WWE title win for both Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade. Toxic Attraction’s second Tag Team Championship reign now comes to an end at exactly 90 days, as they won the gold on the April 5 episode of NXT 2.0.
Last year’s Great American Bash event featured the crowning of new NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions as the make-shift duo of Io Shirai and Zoey Stark defeated The Way’s Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell.
