“All Heart” went all out with his first WrestleMania weekend.
For the past two years, Blake Christian was unable to get in on the action at WrestleMania weekend. The COVID-19 pandemic nixed the plans for his first attempt in 2020, and he was signed to WWE during the following year’s edition. But in 2022, Christian had the freedom to wrestle to his heart’s content, and that’s exactly what he did. Over a three-day stretch, Christian competed in six matches for GCW, IMPACT Wrestling, Ring of Honor NJPW STRONG, and Black Label Pro. In fact, between April 1 and April 2 alone, he worked four matches, and the BLP show was early in the morning on April 3.
In an interview with Denise Salcedo, Christian reflected on this remarkable experience and noted that he became the first person to work for all the major promotions outside of WWE and AEW on the same day.
“It was cool, especially the Ring of Honor day because I had no idea,” said Christian. “I was reached out to last-minute, so it was pretty exciting. But now I’m able to say the only person to ever do ROH, New Japan, GCW and IMPACT all in one day, so that’s a pretty cool thing to say.”
“All Heart” went on to explain that, moving forward, his main takeaway from the weekend is that he was the first, and potentially the only person, to wrestle for the top companies on the same day.
“I think the story is the me doing all those shows in one day, especially all the major promotions in one way,” said Christian. “So I probably will be the only person to ever do that. So I think that was my biggest takeaway from it, that’s my memorable moment to say I was the first person to do this. Maybe the only person to do this. So that’s my takeaway from it all.
Christian then explained that he was happy with the way his first WrestleMania weekend turned out because he loves to wrestle.
“This was my first WrestleMania weekend ever,” said Christian. “I was scheduled for it two years ago, right when the pandemic hit, and then it was all kind of taken away, and I had a lot of good stuff lined up then. And then the second one, I was obviously signed to WWE, so I couldn’t. But just to be able to experience it, especially the way I did, I was hustling, I was coming out of WWE, so I really wasn’t expecting to hustle like that.
“But I’m happy because overall I love wrestling. The money’s great, but I love to do wrestle. And to be able to do that that many times and on such a big weekend, that was special to me. So it was cool to be my first weekend especially.”
“All Heart” will keep hustling, as he’s set for shows with GCW, The Wrestling REVOLVER, and Warrior Wrestling over the next few weeks.
