Becky Lynch says fans feel like they know Seth Rollins so well that they have resorted to chanting his government name at him during WWE events.
Becky Lynch has been doing media rounds in the lead-up to WrestleMania 38, an event where she will defend her RAW Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair. Her husband, Seth Rollins, also has a match against a yet-to-be-revealed opponent, and that competitor is rumored to be Cody Rhodes. Rollins has been met with “Cody” chants in recent weeks, and Lynch was asked by IB Sports about the likelihood that Rhodes shows up in Dallas this weekend.
Lynch ended up responding in hilarious fashion, telling the interviewer that they were mistaken and that the fans were really chanting “Colby” at Rollins:
“Oh, you’re thinking of his government name. Seth’s government name is Colby. Yeah, I think everybody feels like they know him so well, they’re chanting ‘Colby! Colby! Colby!’ So yeah, you’re mistaken,” Lynch quipped. “I mean look, he’s so good, he could have a match with himself and it would be awesome, so maybe he’ll be forced to have a match with himself. If it wasn’t on the same night as my match was, he could steal the show, so maybe he’ll be on night two and he could steal the show, Seth Rollins facing Colby Lopez.”
Rollins is currently slated to lose his WrestleMania match by oddsmakers, despite his opponent still remaining a mystery at this time; check out updated betting odds for WrestleMania 38 at this link.
