Updated TERMINUS Card For January 16: Three Title Matches On Tap

TERMINUS is shaping up to be one unique wrestling event with multiple titles on the line from two distinct wrestling properties. The upstart Atlanta-based promotion from Baron Black and Jonathan Gresham will take place on January 16 and over the course of the past few months, it revealed a very diverse roster that played to Black and Gresham’s intentions of building a one-of-a-kind show. Fans were already teased with Lee Moriarity taking on Jay Lethal and Jordynne Grace defending her IMPACT Digital Medi Championship against AEW’s Kiera Hogan, but now more matches have been announced. The card at this moment is as follows:

  • ROH Original World Championship (Pure Rules): Jonathan Gresham (c) vs. Josh Alexander
  • ROH World Championship: Baron Black vs. Bandido (c)
  • Lee Moriarity vs. Jay Lethal
  • IMPACT Digital Media Championship: Jordynne Grace (c) vs. Kiera Hogan
  • Terminal Eliminator Match: JDX vs. Daniel Garcia vs. Invictus  Khash vs. Adam Priest
  • Moose vs. Alex Coughlin
  • Dante Caballero & Joe Keys vs. Tracy Williams & Fred Yehi
  • Liiza Hll vs. Janai Kai

Both Black and Gresham spoke with Dominic DeAngelo of WrestleZone ahead of the upcoming event and Gresham went into detail of how they settled on the term “Modern Age Grappling” to help define TERMINUS’s intentions:

“Modern Age Grappling was my idea as far as like borrowing philosophies different psychologies of how pro wrestling should be presented,” Gresham said. “The in-ring storytelling of these different styles. We talk about King’s Road from All Japan, we talk about strong style from New Japan, we talk about the Arc style from Pro Wrestling NOAH that was created out of All Japan, we talk about the Lancaster style, that’s what some people call it, some people call it Mount Everest rules, most people know it as World of Sport. There’s so many different psychologies, even from Lucha Libre. There’s so many different stylistic psychologies that people don’t really recognize and my goal is to bring those styles to the forefront and really like, show people that wrestling is pretty much like mixed martial arts. There’s different disciplines that the combatants have to use.

“Modern Age Grappling is just our way of saying, there’s different styles out here and we want you to pay attention to them, welcome to TERMINUS,” Gresham added. “These are the styles, styles make fights.”
