Jay and Mark Briscoe now know who they will defend the GCW Tag Team Championship against at Die 4 This on New Year’s Day.
The Briscoes will face the tag team of Alex Zayne and Blake Christian. All four men have had a life-changing year. Now, Jay and Mark Briscoe are in unfamiliar territory heading into 2022 as they find themselves no longer in Ring of Honor after being the pillars of that company’s tag team division and some of the first to sign with the company since its inception.
Zayne and Christian were both under the belief that they were kicking off the beginning of their WWE journey this year but are now both back on the independent circuit as if they were quickly released by WWE, Zayne in August, Christian in November.
Now, with something to prove in all four men, they will meet on New Year’s Day in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and compete for the GCW Tag Team Championship which is currently held by the longtime Ring of Honor stalwarts and current Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions.
