FTR vs. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express has been announced for Big Time Wrestling’s upcoming live supershow and fanfest on January 22 in Spartanburg, North Carolina. Tickets go on sale on Monday, December 6 and they can be purchased at this link.

The fans have demanded it, FTR has demanded it! BTW brings you, for the first time ever, FTR facing the legendary Rock’n’Roll Express to determine who can truly claim tag team supremacy. Plus it’s Winner Take All when Jerry “The King” Lawler puts his crown on the line against George South’s disgusting jacket. BIG Money Matt Hardy returns to battle CW Anderson.
Scotty 2 Hotty returns to the ring after a 5 year absence and Brock Anderson makes his BTW debut accompanied by his father The Enforcer Arn Anderson. Plus The Total Package Lex Luger, NWA Legend Magnum TA and all the stars of Big Time Wrestling. Photos and autographs 5:30PM-7:30PM. Belltime 7:30PM.

FTR are noted fans of the Express, but they’ve also crossed paths before on All Elite Wrestling television. The August 12, 2020 episode of AEW Dynamite featured a “Tag Team Appreciation Night” theme, and the Express appeared in a segment with FTR, Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard. Blanchard and Ricky Morton ultimately got into a backstage scrap, and FTR ended up attacking the Express.
This wasn’t The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express’ first AEW appearance, however, as they made their on-air debut on the October 30, 2019 episode of Dynamite. The Express were on hand to help crown the first-ever AEW World Tag Team Champions, but they ended up getting attacked by Proud n Powerful (Santana and Ortiz). RNR ended up appearing at that year’s AEW Full Gear pay-per-view, where Morton memorably hit a Canadian Destroyer on Santana followed by a suicide dive on Ortiz and Sammy Guevara.
