AJ Francis, formerly known as Top Dolla in WWE, has responded to reports that he “rubbed people the wrong way” during his time in WWE NXT subsequently gained a reputation for doing so on the main roster.

In another tweet, AJ Francis made it clear that he got disrespected throughout his time with WWE, but he “took it on the chin.” Still, he wanted to speak out against reports that had the potential to damaged his reputation.
As a member of Hit Row, Top Dolla made a few appearances on WWE SmackDown after the stable moved to the blue brand in the 2021 WWE Draft. After his release, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that one internal WWE source said that Francis was “highly regarded”,both for his abilities as a host and for his passion for Hit Row. This report also noted that some sources compared Francis’ “polarizing reaction on Twitter” to the way former WWE announcer Greg Hamilton got “a little too comfortable,” though this factor didn’t specifically lead into Top Dolla’s release.
