Samuray del Sol, formerly known as Kalisto, will make his AEW debut on the November 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.
During an appearance on Wrestling Observer Live, AEW President Tony Khan announced that del Sol and Aerostar will answer FTR’s open challenge for the AAA World Tag Team Championship on Wednesday night.
At times, during his run in WWE, Kalisto thrived in the mid-card. He held the WWE United States Championship, the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, and he held the NXT Tag Team Championship with Sin Cara. and he was featured as a member of Lucha House Party.
WWE released Kalisto on April 15, and he has been a free agent ever since.
AEW World Champion Kenny Omega will also be in action on this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite.
In a separate tweet, the promotion announced that Tony Khan has signed off on a non-title bout between Omega and Alan Angels, also known as “5” of Dark Order. Ths bout will be a rematch of their clash in April 2020; needless to say, a lot has changed since that contest.
Omega’s title match with Angels’ friend, “Hangman” Adam Page looms large, as the champion will surely aim to send his contender a message by beating his ally.
Ahead of @KennyOmegamanX’s PPV Title match vs Dark Order trusted friend Hangman Page, #AEW GM @TonyKhan has booked Omega vs. @Alan_V_Angels TONIGHT on #AEWDynamite!
