In a match between the two bitter rivals, Asuka and Flair wasted no time in going at each other with everything they had. Flair nearly came away with the win several times, as she was able to drop Asuka with a huge boot to the head in the middle of the contest. But Asuka is no stranger to big matches, and she continued to persevere.

Toward the end of the match, Asuka was locked in a triangle choke, but she still refused give up. After she countered the hold into the Asuka Lock, Flair managed to send Asuka crashing to the floor. There, she began to jaw back and forth with Ripley, who was watching from the commentary desk. Ripley threw Asuka back into the ring, but she taunted Flair. “The Queen” dropped Ripley with a big boot, but Asuka used the distraction to her advantage. She rolled Flair up for the surprising win and cost “The Queen” her chance to face Ripley.
