WWE SmackDown Nets Over 2 Million Viewers This Week

WWE Friday Night Smackdown Results

The latest overnight ratings numbers are in for Friday Night SmackDown. This week’s episode would see WWE’s Friday night brand once again garner over 2 million viewers.

According to ShowBuzz Daily, this week’s WWE SmackDown viewership came back with 2.042 million viewers, up from the 1.997 million viewers the April 16 episode drew. As far as demographics go, the 18-49 demographic saw no change for team blue. This week’s 0.5 rating was identical to the rating from last week. In the 25-54 demographic, SmackDown drew a 0.65 rating, up from last week.

This week’s episode set up two pay-per-view quality matches for next week’s episode including Daniel Bryan putting his WWE SmackDown career on the line for one final shot at Roman Reigns and the WWE Universal Championship. In addition to that match, next week we’ll see Apollo Crews once again clash with Big E for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. However, this time it is Apollo Crews who is defending the gold.

Also, this week would see Tamina Snuka pick up another victory. She defeated Nia Jax thanks to the inadvertent help and distraction of Reginald and Shayna Baszler. Finally, new SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair is looking forward to WrestleMania Backlash where she will defend her title against a former champion, Bayley.
