MSK has won the Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
The NXT newcomers defeated the Grizzled Young Veterans in the finals at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.
The whole match was a classic clash of agile high-flying and technical wrestling. Throughout the bout, the Grizzled Young Veterans grounded Nash Carter. After a lengthy period in which James Drake and Zach Gibson isolated Carter, Wes Lee entered the match with a fiery hot tag. He planted Gibson with a face-buster, and MSK took control. Gibson countered a back-handspring maneuver from Lee with a knee to the face, but Lee kicked out of a 450 splash from Drake.
Very smart teamwork by @JamesDrake_GYT & @ZackGibson01, but it isn't enough to put away @NashCarterWWE! #NXTTakeOver #DustyClassic @WesLee_WWE pic.twitter.com/Go4blxEJ7I

Lee planted Drake with a Poison-rana, and MSK hit a Swanton and a Corkscrew splash for a near fall. The Grizzled Young Veterans then hit a modified Doomsday Device, as Drake dove onto Lee outside the ring while he was on Gibson’s shoulders.
