According to new reports, Not only was WWE planning on having Drew McIntyre face Tyson Fury in a dream match but they were also planning on a UK exclusive pay-per-view before the global coronavirus pandemic broke out.
According to a report by Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes Wrestling, McIntyre and Fury, who have been going back and forth with each other on social media ever since Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36 to capture the WWE Championship, were going to be the featured match at a United Kingdom exclusive pay-per-view at some point this year before COVID-19 forced travel restrictions.

According to the report, WWE had the intention of capitalizing on McIntyre becoming the first-ever British world champion in the company and the hunger of the UK fanbase for a big-time pay-per-view and the British government had originally intended that fans could attend sports events in arenas and stadiums in October, but COVID-19 cases accelerated again, and therefore, that idea has been put on the backburner.
WWE used to have many exclusive United Kingdom shows with the final one being Insurrextion in 2003. Most likely, this show would have taken place on United Kingdom time and aired on the WWE Network like the NXT UK TakeOvver specials
