Charlotte Flair Reflects On Her RAW Debut: Looking Back, I Wasn’t Ready

Charlotte Flair seeing that looking back on her 2015 main roster debut, she wasn’t ready.

When Charlotte Flair debuted on Monday Night Raw along with Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks, the game was officially changed for women’s wrestling forever.

Reflecting on her 2015 debut on The Bellas Podcast, the 12-time Women’s Champion now says she can admit that she wasn’t ready at the time but she enjoyed learning in front of the audience.

“When we debuted that night, it was just kind of like, ‘here is the one opportunity,’ not that you’re not going to get another chance, but you have to make an impact tonight. Now that I look back, I felt so unready to be where I was. But it was like a learning process like growing in front of the audience,” said Flair.

Charlotte would also say that, as her first feud, Nikki Bella taught her how to be a star because, without any independent experience or real television time, Charlotte Flair felt like that was one element she was lacking.

“You guys had that star power. So it was like figuring that out. And then how do you continue proving night after night. Like you said, I didn’t come from the indies and the main roster was much different. It’s not about my looks it’s not about being an indie darling, it’s not about my dad it’s just pushing for night after night proving my athleticism and people gravitating towards that and carrying that on.”

Nowadays, Charlotte Flair is one of the biggest stars on TV be it male or female. Currently, she is away from television to take care of a long-running cosmetic surgery issue.
