Matters went from cordial to confrontational in a span of a few words between Hiromu Takahashi and Jushin Thunder Liger.
In a new video released by NJPW World, Liger was interrupted by Takahashi while he was at the NJPW World Cafe. Hiromu offered his hand in respect in which Liger gratefully accepted, but then Takahashi took a step too far in his words that prompted Liger to slap his Wrestle Kingdom adversary across the mouth.

Liger will be teaming with Naoki Sano against Takahashi and the newly named Ryu Lee on night two of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 14 in what will be Liger’s retirement match. Both competitors also have matches they’ll be competing in on night one of the two day event with Liger in a multi-man and Hiromu challenging Will Ospreay for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title.
