Matt Riddle is not Goldberg’s bro.
Riddle shared a story on the Summerslam Watchalong about having a run-in with Goldberg backstage this evening, noting he saw Goldberg’s locker room and tried getting a peek inside. Riddle then noted he got shouldered in the hallway, and he had an awkward exchange with Goldberg about his [Riddle’s] recent comments about him and other WCW legends.
“He goes, ‘we’ve got some talking to do!’ and I’m like we can talk any time, bro. [He’s like] ‘yeah?’ and I’m like ‘yeah.’ I’m like ‘Alright, any time bro’ and he’s like ‘I’m not your bro.’ I’m like ‘alright, bro, take it easy. Whatever.’ And then he’s like ‘yeah, we’ll see. I’ll see you later, and it was a pleasure meeting you’ and I go ‘the pleasure was all mine, bro…’ and then he goes ‘I’m not your bro.’”
Riddle and Pat McAfee also said the backstage ‘meet-up’ was filmed and happened moments before they joined the panel for the WWE SummerSlam WatchAlong show, but doesn’t think it will be aired. McAfee noted that WWE has cameras everywhere and it might not seem like a real situation, it is a very real one indeed, with Riddle saying he thinks they’ll still have a real talk sometime later on.
