In a recent interview with Digital Spy, Drew McIntyre recalled competing in the 2010 edition of the Money in the Bank ladder match. In that match, Kofi Kingston hit the Scottish superstar with a Boom Drop through a table. This caused him to go “out for a second.” “As I opened my eyes I was wondering why everybody was in my bedroom. I was looking around and it took me a second to realize, ‘Wait a minute, this is not my bedroom, wait a minute, I’m at a wrestling show.” He goes on to say that it was a scary moment, but that he was able to successfully go through testing at the time. “So that’s my memory of it, ‘Why’s everyone in my bedroom?'”
Drew McIntyre also states that he’s been keeping his eye on the NXT UK roster, which features many of his countrymen. “I’m always keeping an eye on Gallus. I took Wolfgang’s first wrestling lesson about 16 or 17 years ago.” He then states that he’d love to wrestle Walter, NXT UK’s current champion. “It might be a bit of a spectacle for everybody to watch and the story is simple – two big lads battering each other.”
