Sasha Banks’ WWE status continues to hang in the balance, with the superstar apparently planning on sitting out the rest of her contract in an effort to be released. While many wrestlers have thrown their own opinions into the matter, Booker T was the latest to do on the latest episode of his The Hall of Fame w/Booker T podcast.
Speaking on Banks and her issues with the WWE, Booker T was pretty unforgiving. “My take on this is that a lot of times things aren’t made up sometimes to what you think they are. You can think things are a certain way when you get there, but when you finally get there you realize that it is not what you thought it was,” said Booker (via Wrestling Inc).
Booker T went on to discuss how Banks has all of the talent in the world, but that the WWE likely wasn’t what she thought it would be. “…there are those ones like Sasha Banks, who has all that talent and rises up to that top level and gets there and then realizes that it is not what she thought it was because the reason is that it is not all about you. It is never going to be about you.”
Booker also touched on the fact that most of Banks’ frustrations seem to stem from the way she’s booked, with Booker saying that sometimes you have to swallow your pride and accept what’s scripted. The entire talk is worth listening to, so make sure to do.
