Chris Jericho: IMPACT Made Mid-Seven Figure Offer For 4 Matches

AEW wrestler Chris Jericho appeared on today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio and opened up about a lucrative offer he received from IMPACT Wrestling. Credit to Fightful for the quote below:

In my mind, from a pure business standpoint, I’m worth as much as Brock Lesnar to WWE as far as what I bring to the table. That’s the watermark that I had. For me to go back to Vince, I want that kind of a deal. When I was starting to talk with Tony (Khan) and New Japan and Impact as well– Impact offered me a hell of a deal for a four match series. We’re talking mid-seven figures. They have some cash as well. When they believe in something, they have money for it.

Jericho also said that Vince McMahon opted not to match any of the other offers he received and inevitably signed with the new All Elite Wrestling making his first appearance with the company at January’s AEW rally in Jacksonville, FL.

In a recent episode of Talk is Jericho, Jericho talked about his role with AEW, “You [Tony Khan] have some really great generals, just as Vince [McMahon] does and I’m one of Vince’s generals. Now I’m one of yours.”
