New Details Emerge On The Structure Of The XFL

Oliver Luck, XFL Commissioner appeared on WFAN Radio yesterday. During his appearance, several new details about the upcoming revived Football League were confirmed, including salaries and potential TV partners:

• Although there is nostalgic fondness, nicknames like He Hate Me is something Luck wants to move away from
• Vince is 100% owner. Luck is simply in an authoritative position
• Head coaches will all make the same salary: $500,000
• Top players can make up to $250,000, with the possibility of bonuses to teams for winning games (similar to the original XFL)
•  Vince has a minority stake in Draft Kings and the tentative plan is to encourage legalized gambling on the games and do fantasy on the XFL through Draft Kings
• There will be drug testing for PEDs

Regarding TV, the plan is to announce TV next week and head coaches during the spring. CBS, NFL Network, and Turner-owned networks are not options because they have a relationship with the competitor league, the Charlie Ebersol owned AAF, which starts next week.
