Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer is reporting via his “Wrestling Observer Radio” with Bryan Alvarez (subscription required) that KUSHIDA is heading to WWE after he’s done wrestling for New Japan at the end of the month when he bids adieu to the company with a match against Hiroshi Tanahashi.
Meltzer also gives some further details regarding the New Japan talent that has re-signed with the company including Rocky Romero and Chase Owens who both signed deals.
“Juice Robinson and Rocky Romero were three-year deals. I don’t know the length of Chase Owens’ deal but I know it’s more than a year, so it may very well be also three years. Tanahashi was also multi-year. We’re not going to have this situation where every year they worry about what’s going on. They’re gonna to try to get this thing a lot more stability with long-term contracts.”
Meltzer is also stating that Kota Ibushi is not signed to anyone as he’s working freelance. He’s turned down everyone that has wanted to sign him (including WWE).
