Will Ospreay has revealed on Twitter that he will be expanding his Frontline Wrestling promotion that is based out of England. Ospreay will be taking over the RCWA promotion, with their last show being December 8th and re-branding that promotion as ‘Frontline: NEXGEN,’ and will be using it as a platform to help young talent get more exposure in their careers and grant them better and bigger opportunities. This will begin in 2019 and it will be interesting to see how this plays into the UK scene as well as what Will does with New Japan Pro-Wrestling:
NEWS UPDATE! So one of the things I’ve decided to do during my time off was to negotiate with my former promotion of “RCWA” based in Rainham, Essex and take over the running of that promotion and rebrand it under the Frontline brand.
So starting in 2019, Frontline Wrestling will open up “Frontline: NEXGEN” to open more opportunities for the Young Lions, J-1 League & Wrestlers that we’d like to give a run on our shows.
Keep up to date with future shows in Rainham & other shows shall be popping up around the U.K.
But we are dead excited to show Rainham, our style of professional wrestling
This is another small wrinkle of great news in what has been an amazingly progressive 2018 for professional wrestling around the globe. The UK scene has never shined brighter than in recent months with the spotlight of NXT UK now firmly shining on the entire region. NJPW is continuing their expansion and I’m sure this will allow for more talent to be seen over there and I just don’t see any major flaws with this move or with the progression of professional wrestling as it stands in 2018.
