Sometimes professional wrestling gets criticized for being too over the top, but despite having several court segments throughout the years, I doubt anything will top the drama that is currently going on with Brett Kavanaugh and his attempts to become a Supreme Court Justice. While they might not feature as many “this can’t be real life can it?” characters, these WWE court cases are still memorable and worth your time. They’re just not as wild as the Kavanaugh trial no matter how hard they try.
Check out five of the more memorable WWE court cases below:
King’s Court with Lex Luger: Raw, April 11, 1994
Even the Lex Express wasn’t ready for Jerry Lawler’s antics. This WWF Raw segment got Luger over as a babyface, and shows how effective of a heel Lawler was throughout his entire career. Either as an antagonist or aiding feuds, few could talk like the man.
The Trial of Eric Bischoff
Eric Bischoff is one of the greatest Raw General Managers of all-time, and his exit was one for the ages. Check out the entire Trial of Eric Bischoff, that saw the “honorable Vince McMahon” acting as judge. It was an incredible send off to one of the best on-screen performers WWE has ever had.
The Undertaker Joins King’s Court
I don’t think The Undertaker quite understands courtroom attire despite being the judge of “wrestler’s court.” Either way, this classic King’s Court segment is another memorable moment from the 90s.
Little People’s Court
I’m not sure if this is a high point or a low point for the WWE, but it certainly was a point. Never forget when Triple H and Shawn Michaels had to go to Little People’s Court. This actually happened no matter how hard you try to forget it.
“Roddy Piper” on the King’s Court: Raw, June 6, 1994
Few wrestlers are as funny as Jerry Lawler on the mic, and he’s in classic form in this 1994 WWF Raw clip. He tears into Roddy Piper, who also totally appears as the guest.
